If this is a mental health crisis, please click here for more guidance.
Please note: Texting and emailing will usually have a faster response time than calling since we are in sessions most of the day and our admin staff works limited hours and may be on other calls through out the day. For a more efficient process, please include your name, insurance, availability, and the type of counseling you are requesting (individual, couples, family). If the counseling is for someone else, please include their name and relationship to you. Thank you!

We can usually get people on the schedule within a week or so. In the event that we have to implement a waitlist, here are some answers to commonly asked questions:
How long is the waitlist?
If there is a waitlist, it could be from 2-12 weeks (or more) at any given time, depending on multiple factors.
Is there any way to be seen faster?
There are sometimes options! It depends on the reason why you are being placed on the waitlist. Here are some factors and options to consider:
Being flexible on appointment time will likely help a lot. For example, if you are only willing to be seen at 5:00 pm, there are only 7 of those slots between 3 therapists. If none of our 5:00 pm clients are close to being done with counseling, this could be a long wait, while you might be able to be seen at 11:00 am starting this week. Flexibility matters a lot!
But what about work or school? We can provide a note to excuse any time missed from school or work. If you have a child or teen who needs counseling, you can often ask the school counselor to accommodate them with a private space to do the virtual call during the school day and we can provide a letter to excuse any time missed. Schools usually agree to accommodate when parents ask them to.
Can you help me find a therapist who can take me sooner?
Maybe! Here are some ways to find a counselor if we are unable to provide services for any reason:
You can call your insurance plan or log into your insurance's member portal and find in-network providers in their directory.
We have a list of counseling places on our resource page, which we continuously add new resources to. This would be most appropriate for people looking for low-cost, free, or sliding scale counseling.
We have professional connections with other therapists and networks of therapists we can sometimes check with to see if they are accepting new clients if those therapists take your insurance.
Psychology Today is a good search engine for therapists since you can filter by insurance, location, issues, and other search criteria.
If you are looking for a certain type of therapy, there tend to be websites that provide listings of therapists who are qualified to provide that type of therapy. Here are some of them:
Gottman Couples Therapy: Find a Couples Therapist Near You (gottman.com)
EMDR: Find an EMDR Therapist - EMDR International Association (emdria.org) or Find a Listing | Find a Clinician Directory | EMDR Institute – EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION AND REPROCESSING THERAPY
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy): DBT®-Linehan Board of Certification - Find a Certified Clinician (dbt-lbc.org)
